WEDDINGS

The disco at your Wedding Reception is one of the most important things to get right for this major occasion.

My responsibility as your DJ is paramount, with many things to consider throughout the night. Firstly, matching the music and volume to the many different age groups that will be present.

I tend to keep the volume down for the early part of the evening to enable the guests to chat and catch up on the family gossip. They have already been told where to sit in Church, where to stand for the photographs and where to sit at the Wedding Breakfast.

The first opportunity for them to get together with their family and friends is at the evening reception and they don’t take to kindly to a DJ who plays his music so loud that they can’t make themselves heard!

I always start the disco by coming out from behind the show, introducing myself, explaining what I intend to do throughout the evening, ask for any requests and then get the Bride and Groom up for their first dance.

After the traditional buffet break, I will turn the music up and get the party going with a blend of Wedding Reception classics and party anthems.

By this time, the guests will be ready to dance for the rest of the night. We finish the evening with a really memorable finale, involving the Bride and Groom with all of their friends and family wishing them on their way.
